Ali Belgaumi (CFO, Grey Group Asia Pacific) takes on additional responsibilities for Middle East and AfricaJanuary 24th, 2017
Ali Belgaumi, Chief Financial Officer, Grey Group Asia Pacific will now also take on the additional role and responsibility of Chief Financial Officer for the Middle East and Africa regions.
With over 17 years of experience in finance and operations, Ali began his career at Young and Rubicam, where he held various senior positions across Sudler & Hennessey and Y&R Advertising. In 2005, he was promoted to Global Account Finance Director for Young and Rubicam Brands. After that, he joined Publicis and spent nine years with Publicis in various leadership roles, culminating in his appointment as the USA CFO for Publicis Worldwide. While there, he also set up the Global Client Finance function, which saw him managing the top 20 client relationships.
Over the past 3 years at Grey, Ali has played a key role in our acquisitions and integration of multiple entities and joint ventures across many countries in the region, including China, Thailand, Korea, India, and the Philippines . As CFO, the hallmark of his leadership has been characterized by the introduction of commercial discipline in the markets and the reorganization of the finance functions to be more commercially focused. With Ali at the helm of the Regional Finance team, Grey Group Asia Pacific has shown a significant improvement in cash flows. Ali also successfully brought in the culture and discipline of phasing and accurate forecasting which has enabled an improvement in the overall profitability for the region. Under his leadership the region has focused strongly on the importance of compliance, resulting in the strongest-ever compliance performance from the Grey Group Asia Pacific office.
He follows cricket with a passion and continues to try and improve his golf handicap.
