I once got rescued off the side of a mountain in a helicopter.
Please tell us a little about yourself: your career path, your role at Grey and how has the experience been so far?
Before arriving in Melbourne, I worked in music festival production in Manchester. After moving to Australia with my fella, Melbourne felt like home straight away. It took about six months to find the role at Graffiti but it was exactly what I was after. I’ve learnt a hell of a lot in 2 and 1/2 years and worked more and more with Grey on larger campaigns. I’ve now gone full circle and ended up working in festival activation again through the Vanessa project. The Graffiti team has always been like a family, we all look out for each other and act as a great team.
What sparked your interest in the advertising/creative industry?
I was dying for a break from booking porta-loos and signing out tools to hairy electricians. A change of role into brand activations meant I could be involved in the creative development of a campaign and manage client relationships.
What is your perfect pizza?
Salami, some veggies and a bit of a spicy kick.
Where is your favorite place to go on a weekday afternoon when you have no plans or obligations? And why?
Botanical gardens in Melbourne, with a good book and some gelati.
You would like to spend a day in the life of “who”? Why so?
A professional heli-skiier, so I could nail the powder and not kill myself.
What’s the most unusual thing you have ever eaten and where?
Alligator pasty – Bonito in Brazil.
