Please tell us a little about yourself: your career path, your role at Grey and how has the experience been so far?
From Economic student to becoming an AE trainee, AE, AM and Strategic Planner. It’s such a great change in my life. Eight years ago, I met Ms. Kanaporn [My current MD] in my marketing class. I decided to apply for the AE training at Nude Communication [The old name]. It changed my life, I realized that working in a bank is not what I want. Then I come back to work as Account Service since I graduated from Thammasat University. I love to do presentation file – and it feels great when the client buys in on my works. It makes me happy to do both the AE’s and planner’s job. So I moved to strategic planning department after four years of working. It’s quite strange that I never left this office to try others but I think I’m OK because I found the right place to me.
As for the planner’s role. I have to get a brief, write it, find the right insight, judge the work and present the presentation. Before joining Grey, I’m the only planner in my office. The work load is heavy but I find it fun to do everything in the shortest timing. It challenges me to adapt and maximize all my knowledge to my works. I may be good for now, but I would still want to do better, be wiser as well as faster. Also, my English language is the first priority to improve. LOL.
If you could retire tomorrow, what would be the first thing you do?
Take a three-months vacation in Japan – The place that gives my all inspirations.
What would you add to your neighbourhood? Why?
I will open a home-made Unagi Don restaurant [Japanese style grilled eel with rice]. I love it but it is really hard to find a good place that sells only Unagi Don in Thailand. It’s a kind of simple food like chicken rice so Thai local people love it.
Describe the street you’re living on.
I live in Chaeng Wattana Rd., at the edge of the town. You will see a good combination of urban lifestyle from many department stores and rural lifestyle from a local morning market, a cultural festival at a temple and people who live a slower pace of life along the river.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity, who would it be? Why?
I will spend one day with Doraemon because he can make my day longer and funnier with his magic gadgets.
Apple or Android?
Apple, without a doubt.
