Yashaswini Samat, EVP – P&G APAC, (Yash to most of us) who oversees P&G, Grey’s largest business in APAC, will now take on the additional responsibility for managing all P&G brands for Middle East and Africa.
A Grey veteran of 23 years, Yash joined as an Account Director on Pantene. Over the course of her career she has worked in diverse markets, driving integrated strategies and communication plans on P&G brands. She has led and mentored large teams across different geographies (Europe, Asia and North America), cultures and diverse disciplines. Before moving back to Asia, Yash was the Global Brand Agency Leader for Pantene in New York.
Under her watch the P&G business has seen huge success in Asia. Her leadership has seen our OOS revenue grow by over 100% in the last 3 years. Her tenacity to win has seen us work on non-Grey P&G brands, like SKII and Whisper. Our teams continue to get great client assessments across Asia and win big – an example of that is the prestigious President’s award for Downy. Yash has been very successful in helping build Grey’s Digital footprint in Asia as evidenced by us winning the digital business on Pantene (from Wunderman/Dentsu/Law & Kenneth) across all of APAC. Yash was the recipient of Campaign Asia’s ‘APAC Account Person of the Year’ award in 2015.
